Warts are viral infections caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and are contagious.  They can appear anywhere on your body and are usually painless unless they’re in an area that frequently is in contact with other matter.  Some warts will disappear on their own while some do not.  They can even reappear after having them removed.  Before attempting to treat a wart it is important to do your research or see a physician first.  Certain treatments could make your condition worse.
